Grand opening for the Center for Advanced Joint Replacement at LaGrange Hospital: Thursday, February 27, 2020
Dr. LaReau, serving as co-medical director, announces the grand opening for the Center for Advanced Joint Replacement at LaGrange Hospital on Thursday, February 27th, 2020.
After 4 years of research, planning, investment, and construction, a dedicated and revolutionary center will soon open its doors to patients and surgeons who seek the next paradigm in orthopedic care. As a co-managed entity, the organization has aligned the AMITA/Ascension Health System with a group fellowship-trained surgeons to serve to patients of Chicagoland and the Midwest region.
Employing the latest developments in orthopedic care including anterior approach hip replacement and MAKO-robotic assisted knee replacement, the center will meet–and exceed–the demands of patients who seek rapid recovery following joint reconstruction. Care in the center will stem from dedicated, specialized teams of nurses, scrub technicians, and staff–all working towards the execution of an outstanding surgical patient experience. Six newly constructed operating rooms will be used exclusively by surgeons practicing high-efficiency joint replacement.
The opening ceremonies will include three keynote addresses from thought leaders in the field, including Drs. Jay Parvizi, Kirby Hitt, and Steven Schutzer. Lecture subjects will include preoperative optimization of joint replacement patients, the role of robotics in the next generation of arthroplasty surgery, and the impact physician-health system alliances on care delivery.
